New donation of Jugopetrol to the Red Cross

Solidarity is still important even after the end of epidemic


Jugopetrol AD donated a total of EUR 20,000 worth of food and hygiene products. The packages have been distributed through municipal Red Cross organizations in two phases, during the period of the novel corona virus epidemic and afterwards.

Additional funds for the needs of the Red Cross were also provided by the employees of Jugopetrol AD. They donated part of their monthly salaries for the donation of 216 humanitarian packages worth of EUR 3,242 and thus expressed their personal gratitude for the great effort and dedication of all members and volunteers of the Red Cross organization.

“In this dynamic situation with novel corona virus which still has a big impact on lives and world economy, we should not forget that there are still a lot of families and households that need help. As a company, we wanted to express solidarity and responsibility towards the community and that is why, in line with the needs and recommendations of the Red Cross, we have allocated the type of assistance that is most needed at this moment”, announced Jugopetrol AD.

“The Red Cross Montenegro is very grateful to Jugopetrol AD for the overall cooperation and response to this unfortunate situation, which was a challenge to the whole society and us. Such partners facilitate our action and response to greater humanitarian needs that our citizens had in this period. Many families throughout Montenegro still need our support and donations from Jugopetrol AD will help us to provide them with better humanitarian aid”, announced the Red Cross.

In addition to the donation of humanitarian packages, Jugopetrol AD had previously donated EUR 5,000 worth of fuel to allow the Red Cross volunteers to reach all families living in the most remote parts of the country. The Company also paid the amount of EUR 40,000 to the bank account of the National Coordination Body for procurement of two mechanical ventilators to mitigate the consequences of the novel corona virus pandemic.
